Frequently Asked Questions - Pocket PC

I'm having trouble viewing Hebrew and Greek fonts.

You may need to install the original language fonts for your Pocket PC device. (For Palm OS fonts, see the Palm OS FAQ.)

These fonts must be installed in the Windows/Fonts directory on your device. Then, in WORDsearch To Go, go to Tools > Greek and Hebrew and enter "spGreek" and "spHebrew" in the appropriate box to enable the font.

I can't read the Bible texts I've installed on my PocketPC.
Make sure that you've installed the Bible texts in the correct locations.
Bible texts can be stored in either of the following locations:
  • \Storage Card\Bible
(Note: Storage Card may also be called SD Card or CF Card)
  • \My Documents\Bible
The WS2GO application will not find them if they are stored anywhere else. Once the Bible files are stored in one of the above locations, go to View > Bibles and Ref > Advanced and specify the path to be
  • \SD Card\Bible\ or
  • \Storage Card\Bible or
  • \My Documents\Bible\
depending on where the files are stored. Tap OK, and the installed Bibles should appear in the list.
WS2GO can't find text files when I install them in the SD Card\My Documents\Bible directory.
In WS2GO go to View > Bibles and Ref > Advanced and enable Specify Path and then type in \SD Card\My Documents\Bible below it. Tap OK, and the Bibles should appear in the list.
How do I make sure that a new WS2GO version overwrites the old version?
If you do not exit the previous version of WS2GO before installing a new one, the new version will not install properly. To exit the WS2GO application tap Tools > Exit. After exiting WS2GO on your PocketPC handheld, try reinstalling WS2GO again.
Where should I install WS2GO text files on my storage card?
To store WS2GO text files on your Storage Card:
  1. Open ActiveSync on the desktop of your desktop computer
  2. Create a MyDocuments folder on your Storage Card (if there isn't already one)
  3. Create a new folder under \Storage Card\My Documents\ called Bible, with a capital B
  4. Move all of your Bible text files into this folder
  5. Restart the WS2GO application
If WS2GO is having trouble locating the Bible files, go to View > Library > Advanced and specify the path to be \Storage Card\My Documents\Bible\ -- case sensitive with the exact folder names that are in ActiveSync.

Note 1: If you are using Windows CE 2002, the Bible text files should go into Storage Card\Bible.

Note 2: Your Storage Card folder may also be called CF Card or SD Card

Where should I install the WS2GO text files in main memory?
In Main Memory, the text files should be stored in the \My Documents\Bible\ folder.

If WS2GO is having trouble locating the Bible files, go to View > Library > Advanced and specify the path to be \Storage Card\My Documents\Bible\ -- case sensitive with the exact folder names that are in ActiveSync.
